Angela has practised since 1986 in a range of fields, in particular, intellectual property (copyright, patents, trade marks, design), franchising, confidential information, arts and entertainment law, information technology law, alternative dispute resolution. She has also had substantial experience in general commercial law, banking law, administrative law, company law and equity. She was a part-time member of the Copyright Tribunal of Australia 1998-2007.

Angela is an accredited mediator under the National Standards for Accreditation of Mediators and a member of the Supreme Court and District Court mediator panels. She is Chair of the NSW Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee, General Editor of Intellectual Property Precedents (LexisNexis), a co-author of Patent Litigation Precedents in that publication, and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of The Intellectual Property Society of Australia and New Zealand. She is a director of UNSW Press and Chair of the ATYP Foundation Advisory Committee. She was President of International PEN Sydney 2006-2007. She chaired the NSW Bar Association's Media Awards Panel from 2004 to 2007 and has served on its Equal Opportunity and Mediation Committees.
