Before commencing a career in law Craig was a stockbroker and then the Education Manager at the Sydney Futures Exchange. Craig then consulted in the areas of Commercial and Corporate Law, Intellectual Property and Industrial Relations for 18 years before being called to the Bar in May of 2007. He has experience in corporate insolvency, civil and criminal fraud, unfair dismissal, unlawful dismissal, employment contracts, Australian Workplace Agreements, Federal and State award conditions, equal opportunity, discrimination, privacy and the protection of confidential information and intellectual property rights. He is also experienced in the areas of independent contractor agreements, service and building contracts, sales and purchasing contracts, deceptive and misleading conduct, s87B Undertakings and the Occupational Health & Safety Act 2000 (NSW).
Throughout 2009 and 2010 he appeared in the Supreme Court in the Equity Division in two complex matters seeking to account for, trace and recover monies the subject of express and imputed trusts either unlawfully distributed or misused by the trustee in breach their fiduciary duty. Craig holds a First Class Honours in Law and a Bachelor of Business (Accounting). He was the winner of the International Honours Society's scholarship for law at Macquarie, the winner of the Deans Award, the winner of the Best Graduating Student in Distance Law and the winner of the Comparative Law Prize. He was the author of the report of "The Impact of the Occupational Health & Safety Act 2000 on Non-Governmental Organizations and the Community Managed Mental Health Sector" presented to the N.S.W. Minister of Health at 2002 State Government Inquiry into Mental Health.
